Sara Chinchen (pictured) our candidate for Dore and Totley Ward has recently secured three new litter bins for Mercia Field in Dore. This sports field, managed by King Ecgbert School, is well-used by people in the local area including regular organised sports events. A bin at every entrance gives users no excuse to drop litter. Hopefully Sara's regular litter picks will be a thing of the past. Sara will be out tomorrow morning speaking to the sports teams and to ensure this is a lasting solution. Many thanks go to the Facilities Manager at King Ecgberts School for his prompt response to this request including a commitment to empty the bins weekly.
