Lead by Janet Anber, our Sheffield Conservative Policy Forum (CPF) was re-formed during lockdown and we have now held several virtual discussions and made useful contributions to the development of Party policy. In May we held two sessions to consider a range of issues relating to the Environment and Animal Welfare which were both well-attended including the national director of the Conservative Policy Forum nationally, Anna Firth. In June we held a discussion group event covering recent events in the US and UK related to racial discrimination and policing. Our Young Conservatives Association also held an on-line session on the Environment and Animal Welfare with a good take up and some lively debate. The Sheffield Executive have now taken the step of opening our future events to subject experts and others who are not yet Party members. We are also planning a future event with teenagers for whom their is a huge appetite to debate the topics of the day.
